This flag box is made of solid imported African Mahogany with true mitered corners and will fit a 3 x 5 flag made of cotton, nylon, or what ever your flag is made of. The total outside dimensions measure 17 width x 26 1/2 height x 2 5/8 depth. We have a 3/8 lip on the inside so that where the edge of the flag meets the wood is hidden making for a cleaner look when displaying your flag. The connected shadow box measures 17" width x 18" height x 2 5/8" depth. The actual display area measures 16" w x 17" h. We use 1/2" foam board underneath your choose of red, blue, or black velvet. We use a solid single pane of glass for the front of both displays, so no worries of scratching or yellowing are necessary. The backs are hard board and removable, so your items can be inserted. It also has a saw tooth hanger on the back for hanging on the wall or the display may be sat on a book shelf or any other flat surface. It is finished with a semi-gloss lacquer. Flag and insignia are not included.
